On Monday David Cederholm our newly promoted UK Sales Director and his team had their qtrly meeting. It is always great to see the team altogether and the obvious passion & energy they have. Internally we are all aware that we still have a long way to go and have a lot to do in terms of recruiting new restaurants and also the right type of restaurants.
It was a strange day for me as I am now stepping back from direct control of the UK B2B team after several years, but it feels like the right time and will strengthen the UK operation to go to the next level. It is always hard to let go of something that has been a huge part of your life and energy but knowing that it is the right thing to do has made the transition very easy, as well as passing the baton to a person that I have worked with for 3.5 years and is great at what he does. I am sure all of us at Just-Eat are also proud of our record of developing and promoting internally whenever possible.
I am very relaxed that over the next 12 – 18 months we will provide our consumers with the right choice of restaurants and importantly help drive our restaurant partner businesses forward. Keep the restaurant suggestions coming because they are always helpful and used by the team!
