We are three weeks into the first Just-Eat.co.uk summer internship programme. It is going fantastically well and we are delighted that the students involved are getting so much out of it. The core concept for us was that we wanted to find 8-10 really bright, enthusiastic and motivated undergrads and bring them into our business for ten weeks. We would provide everything they needed to learn about sales and marketing in a growing internet company.
This is a total win/win and i really think more companies should open themselves up to this kind of programme. In a ever more competitive world and job market – enabling UK students to gain valuable work experience while we as a company benefit from the energy, ideas and future talent spotting opportunity that having the Just-Eat.co.uk Summer Camp has clearly brought us.
Great to have them all on board all be it until the gang return to their uni’s this October.
Is the intern scheme still available? I think it’s great that young people are given a chance to get some experience.
