I know from the amount of mails I have received and general comments that our two (now famous) takeaway characters belly & brain have had a huge impact in the TV regions that we have launched our first major TV assault on the UK with. Well I guess the million dollar question is what did it achieve for Just-Eat in the UK? Across our mgt team from the sizzling Mat Braddy to our CEO Klaus Nyengaard we have been happy to satisfied that the campaign has achieved in all the key areas at the high to top end of what our expectations were at the start. We had the best November in all our key measures and it was great that we could see TV was helping hugely to drive that. So will the nations independent takeaways be back on TV through Just-Eat.co.uk in 2010….hell yeah! Belly & Brain are here to stay, this is a long term thing! We are already planning the next campaign for early next year.
It has been great to hear all the restaurants from Jade City to Kashmiri Spice in Manchester saying they have seen the TV ad with their families on X – Factor etc and we love the fact that so many of you have said that when the ad came on TV it is ‘my ad’, that is exactly how we feel about it and we are really looking forward to deepening the partnership in 2010 with some new great products….more on that closer to the time!
David,
interesting to read offline advertising has been so successful, of which i wish you the very best for 2010.
I use your website now for all “takeaway” orders, and think its very user friendly until you get to the “my account” page. Having said that i understand that you’re already working to make this page better.
As a business owner myself what was the reason you decided to go down the TV advert (offline) avenue, where you’re relying on the customer remembering the URL/ company name and then logging onto the www, when you could spend the same money through Internet (online) advertising and have the customer sat at a pc/laptop and build exposure there?
How does the ROI compare?
Regards,
Simon

Simon, thanks for the comment. I will share some further TV information over the coming weeks as we go through our analysis. In the mean time feel free to drop me a line or mail direct and we can talk further. Best Regards, David
