About
- I jointly started the UK operation of Just-Eat.co.uk in March 2006 as Sales Director. I have led large scale sales teams in a corporate as well as start up sales environment, developing and implementing successful sales strategies in highly competitive markets.
- During the last 3 years I have led a team that has now grown to 50 people in the UK operation of Just-Eat.co.uk and established myself as an authority in the UK quick service restaurant sector.
- Prior to Just-Eat.co.uk I worked at Coca-Cola Enterprises for 8 years in a wide variety of commercial sales roles including the UK restaurant channel.
- I joined Coca-Cola directly from university where I obtained a Law & Business Degree (found the Law part of my degree a bit dull, I should have studied Geography and Politics!), in 2004 I received the Account Manager of the Year award for my work in the UK restaurant channel principally for the work I did with Nando’s and Pret A Manger.
- I have extensive experience in leading strategic, operational and commercial implementation in tough environments.

Its great to know something more about you, David. I have seen how you make it and keep it going since I join Just-Eat. Every day I feel I am growing as Just-Eat grows ervery day. Its a really fantastic feeling and I think that is just what life all about. Its my honor to be a member of Just-Eat.
Brilliant!
David, it was a great pleasure meeting you today. Regardless of outcome, I think your concept and approach will succeed in the Canadian market and that success is not far behind. I thank you once again for your insight and hospitality!
P.S. Does my name have to be David to work there?

Likewise Roc, it was great to meet you!
now block me cant other order ??? can you help me
I thought that I would personally contact you. As each time I make comments about Just Eat I never get a response, you will note that I am a new customer. At 1st I was very impressed with your concept. But I have doubts if I shall continue my custom with your company. This is not the 1st time that I’ve had poor service. I realise that you only process the orders on behalf of the takeaway, but sustainable continuation of poor standards will reflect on your overall reputation.
Even though customers are asked to review orders, I guess that these comments are not even looked at by the companies that sign up to use your service.
Tonight ,I placed an order, number 3631364. The product was not as described. 1 piece of tandoori chicken even though the menu says 2. Also, the pappadams were missing. Disappointing !!!
Come on!!!

Hi Shaun
Thanks for your mail and my sincere apologies for the experience you encountered, it is not the experience we want any of our customers to have.
I can promise you the reviews are taken very seriously by both the restaurants and other users. As a business we are also commited to profiling them more and more and we are currently developing a algorythm that will rank the restaurants in every postcode in the UK from top to bottom according to several dimensions of which the quality of their reviews will be critical.
I will look into the orders for you and come back with a appropriate response. Thanks again for taking the time to write to me.
Hi I like the points system on your site, I dont feel anyone is looking after it you only have wine on offer what happens if you dont drink seems a bit one sided and not open to all your customers.
Look at how Tesco do things they have it down to a “T” I would use your site much more if this was sorted out.
On a good note “I think your site rocks” Easy to use, fast and safe. Keep up the good work
this is a very interesting concept..i hadn’t heard of you before but i see that you are in Canada..how convenient..one stop shopping!
A truly fantastic business built around social media a business that stopped advertising and started communicating
Just eating is something that should be enjoyed, not about just ordering a takeaway and having food delivered to your doorstep. Eating food is supposed to be social and enjoyed by all with others. I think that those behind Just Eat need to set up a online table booking for those who like to go out and dine!!
Hi David, you need to be aware of a problem on your just eat UK website. My partner tried to order from the site. Completed all steps and went through verified by visa.
For some reason, no confirmation was forthcoming from your website, and it went back to the home page.
On trying the chat service, the young lady Holly, provided by your third party chat facility could not explain what had happened to the order, yet she did say she could see the card details. She then went on to say that the money was being being held by the Bank. And cut and pasted the FAQ from your website. Having contacted the bank, Barclays in this case, they say that the money has been credited to just eat, so… It’s gone.
Two things concern me, 1) who do you use to collect the money, ie which clearing company. 2) the bank say say the account has been debited.
Clearly your system is not working and your deal with Provide Support needs looking at. Frankly it would be better if your staff dealt with your enquires rather than someone else.
So, from my partners position she was told no money was taken, yet money has been. The takeaway had not received an order as she contacted them and they actually trade under a different name.
Your website states that.”the money is being held by your bank” this is patently not true. Your website does not state whom you use as a third party payment provider. As I work in the web I do find this odd as every website we build states clearly who we are integrating with.. I.e Sagepay, Worldpay etc. After some pressing in a later phone call to Provide Support she was told that the third party was called Cyberforce. We eventually had to tell her it was actually Cybersource.
I wanted to go straight to you rather than go though your firm as, like me sometimes complaints don’t go all the way to the top.
Your comments will be welcome. At the moment my partner won’t be using you again and as a fellow Internet entrepreneur I suggest this act needs to be cleared up.
Thinking it through the actual fulfilment of these transactions could well be causing you some headaches as i can understand the weak points in the chain etc. I doubt that this is the first or last complaint you will/have had.
