Just-Eat recently bought local takeaway website in India, it is as ever all systems go! This means we will now be operating in a market of more than 1.2 billion people which is pretty big. There is a great local team that will continue to run the company in the market place, Leigh Phillipson (our new sales guru) and I were lucky enough to be there for the launch of the Mumbai market place at the start of March.
Here Leigh and I are with the guys in the office on a Sunday night, running takeaway websites is a 24-7 passion. We did however make time to go and watch the last couple of hours of India v England at the cricket world cup. All work and no play etc…..;-)
On a personal note I loved India, the food and people are lovely. On the down side I did get a little bit of Mumbai belly as did Leigh who came off much worse.
